“Cecilia, I’m breaking off my engagement to you!”
“…What?”
Suddenly, Kaiser gave me a stern look and told me so.
What? Huh? Didn’t I lose consciousness when I was stabbed by Count Strayed? But how did this happen?
I looked around in confusion, not understanding what had happened, and realized that we were in the familiar hall of the castle, and many more royalty and aristocrats were watching us from afar.
“I…why am I here?”
When I found myself standing coming to, I was completely unable to follow the situation.
“…What are you talking about? Don’t tell me…are you trying to fool me in that way?”
“What? Fool?”
“Yes, it’s what made me break off my engagement to you.”
“Hmm? Break off the engagement? Wasn’t our engagement already broken off in the first place? So why would me and Kaiser have to break off our engagement again?”
“What are you talking about!? that’s ridiculous! You forced yourself to become engaged to me a long time ago and made me continue the engagement to this day!”
“…What?”
I blinked and scowled at Kaiser’s words, and then he looked at me and expressed his disgust.
“I won’t be fooled by that look on your face! Do you think I don’t know all the things that you’ve done to harass Nina?”
“…Huh? Harassing Nina? …Me?”
“If you are still going to play dumb? Apologize for your crimes here, and I’ll give it some thought.”
For some reason, Kaiser let out a deep sigh as he looked at me in disbelief.
Then a person came out from behind Kaiser’s.
“Nina!”
“Huh!!”
I couldn’t help but call out her name loudly when I saw Nina coming out from behind Kaiser.
But while the usual Nina would have smiled happily at me, now Nina looked at me with a frightened face, her shoulders trembling with surprise at my call.
Kaiser looked at her with concern, and pulled her to his shoulder as if to protect her.
Then Kaiser glared at me sharply.
“Cecilia, don’t frighten Nina!”
“Oh, I didn’t mean to frighten her, but…”
“I hope you realize that what Cecilia has been doing to Nina has been so bad that she’s been frightened like this just by the sight of Cecilia.”
“No! In the first place, I did not harass Nina!”
“Do you still think that’s a good idea?…We have a lot of witnesses over here”
Then he turned around and nodded to me coldly.
Then, behind him, a group of people came lumbering up behind him.
“Everyone?”
I was puzzled to see the familiar members of the group. I was confused because they were giving me very cold stares.
I was very upset by the looks I recieved.
“What happened to you guys?”
“…I don’t know how I can say what’s going on in this situation.”
“Ghislan?”
“Hey, how long are you going to pretend you don’t know? Lady Cecilia.”
“Prince Leon?”
“I think it would be better for you if you just admitted your sins.”
“Prince Alfeld?”
“…Miss Cecilia, what you have done is very unacceptable!”
“Viktor?”
“I’ve been working for Lady Cecilia for a long time and have also thought that it was a bit much for me.”
“Lady Lateia?”
“I know I’m not in a position to talk to you as an emperor of another country, but I still can’t forgive you for what you’ve done.”
“Alexel?”
“You really are the worst.”
“Princess Victoria?”
“Yeah, I’m sure. This woman asked me to attack little Nina.”
“Rabi?”
I stepped forward to approach them, bewildered by the cold words and attitudes that I hadn’t thought possible before.
But my actions caused them to wrinkle their brows and surround Nina as if to protect her from me.
This completely villainous reception made me feel shocked.
And when I turned my gaze to Nina, who was being protected by everyone else, she had a sad face with tears in her eyes as she put her face to Kaiser’s chest.
So this time I’m being forced to play the role of the original villainous daughter! And this…….this is definitely the Cecilia absolution event that was on the Kaiser route!
Realizing this, I took a step backwards with with a shocked expression on my face.
Then a knight grabbed my arms from both sides.
“Huh?”
“Cecilia, I am sorry, but I am going to have to imprison you for the many crimes you have committed.”
“Huh!?”
“And please be prepared to spend some time in jail, as the severity of your crimes warrants the death penalty.”
“Huh!?”
Kaiser, who had come forward, leaving Nina in the midst of everyone else, declared me with a very black pseudo-smile on his face.
“Then take her away.”
“Huh!?”
“Wait, wait a minute!”
“Goodbye, Cecilia.”
Kaiser said this to me, while I was being dragged by the knights, and then was about to turn his back and leave with everyone.
But I couldn’t accept that reality, so I desperately reached out to them, screaming at them, while being dragged by the strong forces as they never looked back at me.
“No! Don’t leave me, everyone!!”
***
“Ahh!!”
I choked and opened my eyes at once. But my vision was distorted by tears and I couldn’t see clearly.
I blinked a few times, feeling my heart beating fast with my blurry field of vision, and when I could finally see clearly, I realized that I was lying in bed with my right hand raised.
…What the hell…I am…
Putting my right hand down in a confused daze, I wiped my tear-stained eyes with my hand and stared at the familiar ceiling, and gradually, the dream I had just had came back to me in a clearer way.
Oh! That is…was that…really a dream?
A dream that was so real it made me wonder if it was really a dream.
With that in mind, I tried to pull myself up, but I couldn’t put as much force into my body as I would have liked. It was so heavy that I felt as if my whole body had been turned into lead.
However, as I tried to pull myself up with all my energy, I felt a sharp pain in my right side.
“Ah!”
I rolled up the nightie I was wearing under the covers, enduring the pain, and saw that my side was bandaged tightly.
………Well…I guess I didn’t die
Relieved to see that, I leaned myself up against the pillow to see what was going on around me.
Then an unbelievable sight came into my field of vision.
“……Huh?”
I blinked repeatedly, letting out a small sound of surprise to confirm what I had seen.
Because right in front of me was everyone, sleeping soundly with their eyes closed.
First of all, Nina and Lady Lateia sat on the couch together and slept while cuddling, while Ghislan, Prince Alfeld, and Prince Leon each leaned back in single-seater chairs and slept.
In addition, Viktor was asleep, leaning against the wall with his arms crossed, and Kaiser was sleeping cross-legged in a chair near my bed.
Why is everyone sleeping in my bedroom!?
Surprised, I was about to pull myself up from the covers when I noticed an something at my feet.
When I turned my gaze in that direction to check, I found that Princess Victoria was sleeping with her upper body on my futon.
What!? Why is Princess Victoria also sleeping here?
Confused by this completely incomprehensible situation, I reached out my hand to wake up Kaiser, who was nearby, before stopping with a snap.
…If that was not a dream, but actually reality and everyone woke up like this, they might give me that cold look and attitude again.
I started to think that, and then I got more and more scared, so I took my outstretched hand back and squeezed it to my chest.
Just then, the door to the bedroom opened quietly and Dahlia came into the room, holding a bowl of towels.
Then, after checking that everyone was still asleep, she slowly turned her gaze towards me.
“Ahh!”
Dahlia stopped in place with her eyes wide open in surprise when she saw me.
Furthermore, the bowl slipped from her hand and fell to the floor with a loud crash.
Everyone jumped up and looked at the Dahlia, startled by the loud noise.
“Dahlia! What happened!?”
Kaiser called out to Dahlia, who stopped near the door, holding her mouth with both hands, her eyes wide open and frozen, in shock.
But even so, Kaiser’s voice did not seem to reach Dahlia, and even though the water in the bowl was wetting the floor, Dahlia did not react and just stared at me for a long time.
As expected, everyone was suspicious of Dahlia and followed her gaze, slowly turning to look at me.
And when their eyes focused on me, they all froze, eyes widening in the same way.
I looked at them and smiled nervously and gave them a small wave.
“Uh, good morning……”
“Oh!! Cecilia!!!”
With such a loud voice, Kaiser quickly got up from his chair and hurriedly approached my bed.
Then everyone else rushed over to me following suit.
